Earthquake jolts Peshawar, surrounding areas
An earthquake shook Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and its surrounding areas, prompting residents to rush out of their homes in fear while reciting prayers.
According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale and struck at a depth of 211 kilometers.
The epicenter was located in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region, which is known for its high seismic activity.
Hence, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety.
