Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirms in a press conference on Thursday that Pakistan’s forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 29 Israeli-manufactured drones deployed by India in a coordinated attack attempt targeting multiple locations across the country.

DG ISPR in a latest press conference with Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, also confirmed that at least three Pakistani citizens embraced martyrdom and four others were left injured.

Pakistan’s military spokesperson has dismissed Indian claims of drone attacks launched by Pakistan as “false and laughable,” while revealing that the Pakistan Army has so far shot down 29 Indian drones, including those targeting sensitive locations across the country.

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in a press briefing, said that four missiles were fired from India’s Aadampur region, and that India’s claim of Pakistan attacking Amritsar with drones is entirely baseless. “In fact, it was Indian forces that struck their own installations in Amritsar,” he stated.

The DG ISPR said that the Pakistani military had identified the hostile drones even before they entered Pakistani airspace and kept them under constant surveillance. “One of the drones is undergoing forensic examination,” he added.

Referring to Indian allegations of Pakistani drone strikes at 15 locations, the DG ISPR called them “ridiculous,” saying that Pakistan has foiled every attempt by shooting down incoming drones and maintaining complete aerial vigilance.

He also confirmed three martyrdoms and four injuries among Pakistani personnel as a result of Indian drone attacks, but asserted that the enemy had faced a far greater tactical and strategic blow. “If Pakistan hits back, the world will hear it loud and clear,” he warned.

The spokesperson strongly condemned a drone attack targeting the Sikh community, saying this act was “unacceptable” and revealed India’s desperation. “A drone heading toward Nankana Sahib was also shot down,” he said, while pointing out India’s global embarrassment and internal confusion, “India is thinking how to escape the shame of its own narrative falling apart.”

In a confident tone, he assured the public: “The Pakistani nation does not fear anyone. While drills are happening in India, people here are playing cricket. We remain vigilant. Nothing will happen to Pakistan.”

DG ISPR’s press conference on Thursday afternoon

Earlier, DG ISPR had confirmed in a press conference on the same day that the Pakistan Army shot down at least 12 Indian drones in different parts of the country, with at least one of them reaching a target in Lahore and injuring four military officers.

One drone explosion in Sindh killed a Pakistani citizen.

At a press conference on Thursday noon, Lt. Gen Sharif confirmed that India launched a provocative drone attack on the night of May 7–8, violating Pakistan’s airspace in what is being described as an act of aggression.

Lt. Gen Sharif said the Pakistan Armed Forces successfully neutralized 12 hostile drones in various regions including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, Miano, Chhor (Sindh), and Karachi.

The military spokesperson described it “yet another blatant military act of aggression against Pakistan by sending Harop drones at multiple locations”.

“This naked aggression continues, and the armed forces are on high degree of alert and neutralising them as we speak,” he said.

Debris from the downed drones has been recovered from multiple locations, indicating the widespread nature of the incursion. One drone was intercepted through a direct military strike.

According to the DG-ISPR, the attack caused partial damage to military equipment and left four individuals injured in Lahore. In another incident, one civilian was injured while another lost their life, in Miano, Sindh, further highlighting the toll on innocent lives.

“The Indian military’s unprovoked actions reflect a dangerous pattern of escalation,” said Gen. Sharif, adding that such acts, including attacks on civilians and elderly women, show that “India has apparently lost its plot.”

He emphasized that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain on high alert and are fully prepared to defend the nation against further aggression.

He concluded by urging the international community to take serious note of India’s destabilising behaviour in an already tense regional climate, while reaffirming that updates will follow as the situation develops.
