*India is now grappling with the fallout from its aggressive actions against Pakistan, as confirmed by British news agency Reuters“ and broadcaster BBC citing local government sources.

Reuters cited local officials in the Indian held Kashmir as saying that three Indian fighter jets had crashed near Srinagar on Wednesday in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The news agency carried photos of what it called “metal debris” lying on the ground in Wuyan in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district district.

BBC Urdu’s Riaz Masroor reported a plane crash in Pampore, where debris were being moved by buldozers.

According to Riyaz Masroor, local residents reported hearing a loud explosion amidst the intense noise of jet bombers. Masroor said that debris from a crashed aircraft is being collected from various parts of the town.

He added that a team from the Indian Air Force is present at the scene to inspect the wreckage, but officials have yet to confirm which aircraft it was or which country it belonged to.

According to the BBC correspondent, the crash site has been cordoned off with barricades, and no one is being allowed to approach the area.

The BBC’s reporter further noted that another aircraft crash occurred on Tuesday night in the Ramban district of Jammu.

Zahoor Ahmad, the village head (sarpanch) of Panthiyal area in Ramban, told the BBC that on Wednesday night, they heard a loud explosion following the sound of jet aircraft over their village. He said he later reached the site with police.

The correspondent also reported unconfirmed reports of an aircraft crash in Bathinda district of India’s Punjab state. However, there has been no official confirmation yet.

According to Indian media, the aircraft crashed near a village named Akalian Kalan. At least one person was reported dead and nine others injured in the incident.

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Army reported to Reuters that Pakistan has successfully shot down five Indian warplanes during its counteractions. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry announced in a press conference that the downed aircraft include three Rafales, one MiG-29, and one Su-30, along with one compact Heron drone.

The Indian media expressed shock over the loss of these five warplanes, initially attempting to downplay the situation.

However, the emergence of videos on social media led to a reluctant acknowledgment of three jets being lost.

Footage has surfaced showing one Indian fighter jet crashing in the Pampore area, located between Srinagar and Pulwama, where it was completely incinerated upon impact.

Earlier, another video captured the crash of an Indian aircraft in the Akhnoor sector.

Additionally, the Indian newspaper “The Hindu” has corroborated reports of Pakistan shooting down an aircraft.

While India has yet to confirm or deny these claims, the realities on the ground have severely challenged India’s assertions of air superiority.

Sources indicate that the debris from the crashed aircraft has caused widespread panic in the occupied valley, while Indian authorities are reportedly trying to obscure the true reasons behind the incidents.

Local residents are actively sharing images and videos of the destroyed aircraft on social media, complicating the Indian government’s efforts to manage the narrative.
