School colleges to remain closed in Punjab as province declares emergency
Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has declared a state of emergency throughout the province, directing all departments to remain on high alert.
According to the official announcement, all educational institutions across Punjab will remain closed today. Officers and staff of civil defense and other relevant departments have been urgently summoned.
Leaves of doctors and medical staff in all hospitals have been cancelled to ensure immediate medical response in case of emergencies.
Punjab Police and all security agencies have also been placed on high alert, with authorities maintaining close monitoring of the evolving situation.
India carried out five missile strikes, at least two of them in Punjab, on Tuesday night.
