Two cases filed against TikToker Kashif Zameer, police officer for mocking uniform
Authorities have registered two cases against TikToker Kashif Zameer and a police officer for mocking the police uniform in a video posted on social media.
The FIRs include serious charges under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and other relevant laws.
The viral video depicted a man in a police uniform next to a stage, holding a tray filled with bundles of cash for the TikToker.
The TikToker was seen grabbing the money and throwing it into the air over the crowd on stage.
Several individuals could be seen dancing around the TikToker to the rhythm of Qawwali music.
The footage sparked widespread criticism, as it was viewed as an act that undermined the dignity and integrity of the police department.
Police officials confirmed that the act severely damaged the force’s reputation.
In an attempt to avoid legal consequences, Zameer allegedly created a second, altered video using artificial intelligence.
The AI-generated clip reportedly changed the color of the police officer’s uniform to portray the individual as a civilian.
Law enforcement has taken the involved police officer into custody for bringing disrepute to the department.
Meanwhile, multiple raids are underway to apprehend Kashif Zameer, who remains at large.
The police have emphasized that they will take firm action against anyone who disrespects state institutions for personal publicity or social media content.
