Preparations for ‘Cattle-Friendly Market 2025’ at Karachi’s Northern Bypass enter final stage

Administration announces 50% discount on parking fees

The much-anticipated Cattle-Friendly Market 2025, set up at Karachi’s Northern Bypass, is nearing completion as preparations enter their final stage.

The livestock market will be officially inaugurated on April 19, while Administrator Shahab Khan will brief the media a day earlier on April 18.

Vendors and buyers can expect a host of new facilities this year, including four free entry points and a token system designed to enhance both buyer and animal safety. Under the token system, buyers will receive one token per animal purchased, which must be shown while exiting the market with their livestock.

Animals from Punjab, Karachi, and other parts of Sindh have started arriving, adding color and diversity to the market with a variety of breeds and sizes.

The administration is also introducing ATMs on-site for customer convenience, and a 50% discount on parking fees has been announced in response to strong public interest.

In the general blocks, vendors are allowed to bring their standard tents, while in the VIP and VVIP blocks, they can either bring tents that meet market standards or avail discounted tents provided by the management. Vendors using their own tents in these premium blocks will pay a reduced area-based fee, provided their tents meet quality requirements.

Even before the official launch, traders from across Punjab and Sindh are being provided with maximum available facilities, ensuring a smooth and secure experience for all participants.
