Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in London after concluding his official visit to Belarus. He landed at Luton Airport via a special flight from Minsk and proceeded to his residence at Avenfield.

Two-week stay planned

According to sources, Nawaz Sharif is expected to stay in London for two weeks. During his stay, he will undergo medical checkups and hold key political meetings. His visit follows a high-profile diplomatic engagement in Belarus alongside his brother, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Warm welcome in Belarus

During their visit to Minsk, both Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were warmly received by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko. In a significant gesture, President Alexander Lukashenko hosted a private dinner in their honour at his farmhouse.

The dinner was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and other members of the federal cabinet. A video of the dinner went viral on social media, showing an unusually warm reception for the Pakistani delegation.

President Lukashenko reportedly expressed deep admiration for both Shehbaz and Nawaz Sharif, highlighting the importance of Pakistan-Belarus relations.

High-level delegation

Nawaz Sharif, in his capacity as President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), had accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and several federal ministers during the Belarus visit. The tour was aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation between the two countries.
