Pakistani actress and model Nadia Hussain has been summoned by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in connection with a major financial probe.

A call-up notice was issued to the actress after millions of rupees were reportedly transferred into her bank account by her husband.

According to FIA sources, Nadia Hussain has been asked to appear before the agency on April 14 in Karachi. The investigation is linked to large financial transactions made by her husband, Atif Khan, who is facing allegations of corruption amounting to billions of rupees.

This latest development adds to the legal troubles faced by the actress. Earlier, the FIA had initiated an inquiry against Nadia Hussain under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) after she made allegations against the agency on social media.

The FIA rejected her claims, labelling them as false and damaging to the reputation of the organization. A spokesperson for the FIA stated that the accusations were baseless, defamatory, and constituted a serious offence under cybercrime laws.

The Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA in Karachi has formally launched an investigation into both the financial transactions and the online allegations made by the actress.

This case is being closely watched, as it involves not only significant financial questions but also issues related to cyber defamation and the role of public figures in criticizing state institutions.
