NA convenes today with focus on Women’s Inheritance Rights

The National Assembly meeting will take place today, with a 12-point agenda released. The agenda includes a notice of attention regarding obstacles to women’s inheritance rights.

The meeting, presided over by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, will be held at 5pm today at the Parliament House. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will present a resolution for the extension of the Registration of Societies Amendment Orders.

According to the agenda, it will address the notice of attention concerning barriers to women’s inheritance rights, as well as amendments to the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act.

There will be discussions on amendments to the Special Technology Zones Authority Act.

The National Commission for Human Rights report for 2023-24 will also be presented during the meeting, along with a notice of attention regarding not receiving the allocated share according to the former FATA NFC award.
