The third part of the movie Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released on June 4, 2027.

“We know how important this franchise is to so many people around us. We just could not run it back,” the filmmaking team of producer Phil Lord and co-directors Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson said at movie theater trade show, CinemaCon.

“So, we decided we needed to take the time to make sure we got it just right.”

Lord stated that the upcoming film would be a “massive finale” to the trilogy.

The team unveiled the first look at “Beyond the Spider-Verse,” which concludes the journey that began with 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and continued with 2023’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”

Lord and Chris Miller, the creators of the trilogy, are set to return as co-writers for the screenplay.

Lord teased that Miles starts the threequel as a fugitive, pursued by other spiders in the multiverse.

He hinted that “Gwen and his other friends may or may not be enough to help him save the family that’s been a central part of the entire system.”

The footage, which highlighted the franchise’s distinctive stylized animation, featured Miles declaring that he plans to do things “his way,” responding to others who have dictated how his story should unfold.

Gwen Stacy and other Spider-Man allies also made appearances in the brief teaser, which has not yet been released to the public.

The “Spider-Verse” series has proven to be a significant box office success, with the original film grossing $384 million globally and winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, while the sequel earned an impressive $690 million.

Lord informed the audience of movie theater owners that “Beyond the Spider-Verse” is intended for “the biggest screens.”
