Eid ul-Fitr tragedy as high-speed accidents claim 8 lives across Pakistan
On the third day of Eid ul-Fitr, high-speed driving severely impacted lives across the nation, leading to a series of traffic accidents that claimed the lives of 8 individuals and left many others injured.
Gambat
A horrific traffic incident occurred on the National Highway in Gambat, Sindh, where a passenger coach collided with a car, resulting in the deaths of 3 people and injuring over 8 others.
Rescue officials reported that the victims included a girl, a woman, and a man. Emergency services and police arrived at the scene and transported the bodies to Gums Hospital.
One of the deceased has been identified as Niaz Muhammad, from Tehrizah Waziristan, while the identities of the other two victims are yet to be determined.
Farooqabad
In Farooqabad, situated in the Sheikhupura district, a car struck multiple motorcycles near the Sacha Suda close to the Dera Bazi Gran stop on the Sargodha Road. This tragic accident resulted in the deaths of 3 young men and left one individual injured.
The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Ali, son of Allah Rakha; 26-year-old Imran, son of Maqsood; and 25-year-old Waqas, son of Ilyas. The injured individual, a 32-year-old man named Ghazanfar, son of Anwar, received prompt medical attention from the Rescue 1122 team.
