Khawaja Asif says PTI has right to protest — but warns against violence
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that PTI has every right to protest peacefully but cautioned that the party must not repeat past violent attempts to storm Islamabad. He also extended Eid greetings to PTI supporters.
In an exclusive conversation with Aaj News correspondent Aqsa Khursheed, Khawaja Asif said, “If anyone feels their rights are being violated, they have the right to protest. PTI can also exercise this right.”
However, he warned that the government would not allow any aggressive move like the previous three “attacks” on Islamabad by PTI. “This time, there should be no assault or storming of the capital in the name of protest,” he added.
The defence minister concluded by wishing PTI supporters a happy Eid in advance.
