Babar, Rizwan join Pakistan’s ODI squad in Napier ahead of series against New Zealand

The Pakistan ODI team has arrived in Napier for their upcoming three-match series against New Zealand, set to commence on March 29.

Key players including Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, and Muhammad Rizwan have joined the squad, bolstering the team’s lineup after a disappointing T20I series in which New Zealand triumphed 4-1.

In addition, eight players from the national T20 squad have also linked up with the ODI team, including Salman Ali Agha, Haris Rauf, Khushdil Shah, Irfan Khan Niazi, Abrar Ahmed, Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Ali, and Usman Khan. Both Rauf and Usman have been formally added to the 50-over squad.

Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Umair Bin Yousuf, Hassan Nawaz, Mohammad Haris, Abbas Afridi, Abdul Samad, and Jahandad Khan will be returning to Pakistan via Dubai, departing New Zealand tonight.

Abdul Samad and Jahandad Khan are among the players returning home, as they are set to depart from New Zealand to Pakistan via Dubai tonight.Fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Usman Khan have been officially included in the ODI squad.
