Israel sets new condition to settle for a ceasefire in Gaza with Hamas
Israel has presented its new condition to Hamas for a Gaza ceasefire.
According to a report from a global news agency, the Israeli Foreign Minister and Defence Minister stated that if Hamas benefits from the foreign humanitarian aid coming to Gaza, the aid will not be allowed into the region.
On the other hand, the Israeli Defence Minister stated that a ceasefire could be possible if Hamas surrenders its weapons and releases the hostages.
These statements from the Israeli ministers came after mediators in the ceasefire negotiations proposed that Hamas release five hostages, including American nationals.
Following this, Israel will agree to a one-week ceasefire, during which humanitarian aid will be allowed into Gaza, and Israel will release hundreds of Palestinians.

A Hamas official stated that the organisation has responded to the mediators’ ceasefire proposal.
However, no response has been received from Israel so far.
It is important to note that despite the ceasefire, Israel has continued to shed the blood of innocent Palestinians in Gaza, resulting in over 600 Palestinian martyrs.
