The family of a 12-year-old girl in Sindh’s Gambat staged a protest, blocking Agharo Road, demanding her recovery following allegations of a forced marriage.

According to the girl’s family, lawyer Jamro has illegally detained the child, despite an abduction case being registered, and no action has been taken against the accused.

The protesting family alleged, “We are poor, and the lawyer is threatening to harm us.”

The protesters urged SSP Khairpur and DSP Gambat to take immediate action and ensure the safe return of the girl.

They burned tyres and blocked the road.

Report said the girl allegedly left her home to marry at her will. The protest ended after SHO assured the protesters of action.
