Columbia University has surrendered to President Trump’s cuts in funding, allowing arrests on campus and imposing a ban on wearing masks.

Columbia University in the United States, affected by the federal funding cuts, ultimately confirmed to comply with the demands of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The university has expressed its readiness to improve its policies by carefully reviewing its approach to protests, security measures, and the Middle Eastern studies department.

Under the new measures, the university will appoint 36 special officers who will be authorized to arrest and evict people from the campus.

The Trump administration had accused the university of failing to prevent the harassment of Jewish students and faculty members. Based on this, Trump had cut $400 million from the university’s funding.
