ECC approves Rs430 million grant for Ministry of Defence
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved a Rs430 million grant for the Ministry of Defence, along with several other key allocations.
Chaired by Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, the ECC meeting also approved a Rs2 billion supplementary grant for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Additionally, funds were sanctioned to clear outstanding advertisement payments owed to media houses.
Other major approvals included funds for SAP schemes in Punjab, Rs250 million for Jinnah Medical Complex & Research Centre, and government investment in a 1,000-bed modern medical facility.
The committee also approved Rs24.556 million payment to an Australian company in compliance with Supreme Court orders.

The ECC decided to gradually phase out the State Bank’s Long-Term Financing Facility (LTFF) and approved the transfer of the Rs330 billion LTFF portfolio to EXIM Bank.
Additionally, a Rs1 billion supplementary grant was sanctioned.
