Maryam Aurangzeb: Pakistan at a decisive turning point, nation stands with armed forces
Senior Punjab Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has said that Pakistan is at a decisive turning point, and the entire nation stands firmly with the armed forces.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, she strongly condemned the deadly attack on the Jaffar Express, calling it another example of terrorism that must be eradicated from the country.
She expressed solidarity with the families of the victims, assuring them of government support during this difficult time.
“We must unite to eliminate terrorism,” Aurangzeb stated. “Terrorists have no religion or faith; they are the enemies of humanity.”

She emphasised that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been working to combat terrorism, recalling that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took decisive steps after the APS attack to root out terrorism.
“The entire nation is standing with Pakistan’s armed forces,” she asserted.
“Lives were lost in the Jaffar Express attack, and we must respond with unity and resilience.”
Aurangzeb criticised political factions waiting for directives from a particular leader, stating that the fight against terrorism requires the same spirit and unity as in the past.
Reaffirming her party’s stance, she said that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif had played a crucial role in counterterrorism efforts following the APS tragedy, and today, the nation remains steadfast in the battle against terrorism.
