Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that petroleum product prices will remain at their current levels, and a significant reduction in electricity tariffs is forthcoming.

In a statement on Saturday, the prime minister stated that the government is preparing a comprehensive relief package to provide substantial relief to the public, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Prime Minister mentioned that final details for reducing electricity tariffs are being finalized, ensuring direct benefits to the public. He emphasized that despite fluctuations in global oil prices, measures are being taken to provide maximum relief to the populace.

He clarified that upon assuming office, public relief was prioritized, and it is with this commitment that the plan to reduce electricity prices is being implemented.

Furthermore, he noted that the reduction in electricity prices will have an overall impact on inflation, providing additional convenience to the public.

The Prime Minister expressed his determination to personally inform the nation about this relief package soon, aiming to alleviate the economic challenges faced by the citizens.
