PTV Home issues clarification on Hira Soomro’s fiery moment during Ramazan transmission
The Pakistan Television Network (PTV) Home has clarified that actress Hira Soomro’s fiery moment during its special ‘Ramazan Pakistan’ transmission was ‘scripted’ after several users on social media criticised a bit from the Iftar episode last week.
“Hello everyone! Recently we created an interesting acting scenario with talented Hira Soomro that many people thought was real,” the state-run entertainment channel said in a Facebook post on March 8.
“But it was just a performance, meant to entertain you and demonstrate the skill of an artist when given a spontaneous scenario.”
Soomro had an emotional outburst over host Muhammad Shoaib’s late arrival for the show. It went viral on social media, capturing public attention because of her upset demeanour.
Throughout the incident, Shoaib apologized repeatedly for his tardiness while co-host Sabina Farooq Khan urged Hira to calm down.
As the video circulated, viewers had mixed reactions, with many believing the incident was scripted.
The PTV Home was shocked to see the negative reaction to the episode.

“It’s surprising how quickly negativity spreads, while the truth often goes unnoticed. Why do people believe and share things without investigating?” it said and reminded viewers that many things were scripted in the entertainment world.
“In showbiz, many things appear real but are actually scripted to tell a compelling story.” The PTV Home urged people to be “more mindful” of what they consume and share.
The state-run channel also shared a video on Instagram where Shoaib discussed the scenario of arriving late and performing, clarifying that their recent engaging act with Hira was intended for entertainment rather than reality.
