After months of speculations about rumoured divorce between Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza, the former Pakistan captain has finally broken his silence over the development.

It first appeared in December last year, when several fans speculated Sania and Shoaib’s relationship had gone sour after some of the events and it led to a separation between the two.

Since then, they haven’t been seen together at any event apart from sharing the screen in the Mirza Malik Show aired on Pakistan’s first OTT platform.

However, Malik cleared the air in his recent interview with Geo News saying that the two are only busy with their commitment and there is nothing else.

“When they [Sania and Izhan] went to perform Umrah I had commitments here and when I took a break and went to Dubai to spend time with Izhan, she [Sania] had commitments in IPL,” he said.

“Everybody needs to understand we belong to different countries and have our own commitments,” he said.

He further urged the people to show him couples who don’t see any ups and downs in their relationship as it is a part of their life.

The two sports superstars tied the knot in 2013, and have a son, Izhan Mirza-Malik together.
