Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a new ‘Punjab CM Laptop Program 2025’ for students. Under the initiative, laptops will be distributed to 110,000 students.

“Students will receive cutting-edge 13th generation Core i7 laptops. Only students enrolled in public sector educational institutions for BS programmes will be eligible to apply,” Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat stated.

He added that students from the first and second semesters of BS programmes qualify for the scheme. An official link for online applications has already been published, and relevant information is available on the Punjab Higher Education website.

The education minister added that the laptop scheme has set a merit requirement of 65% for BS students and 80% for medical students. “Merit will be determined based on intermediate examination scores. Within hours of the laptop scheme portal opening, over 34,000 students had already registered.”

Eligibility criteria

• Must have a domicile from any district of Punjab.

• Must be enrolled in: 1st or 2nd semester of BS in any Public University/College

• Public Medical & Dental College/University (1st professional - academic session 2024)
