Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leaders Ghulam Sarwar, Amanullah killed in Balochistan

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) senior leader Wadera Maulvi Ghulam Sarwar Mosiani and his associate Maulvi Amanullah were killed when unidentified men opened fire on their vehicle in Khuzdar, Balochistan, on Saturday.

Two others were critically injured in the attack.

According to the district administration, the JUI leaders were returning to their hometown, Zehri, after participating in the Soorab sit-in when armed assailants, lying in wait, ambushed their vehicle near Farwani.

The attackers opened indiscriminate fire, instantly killing both leaders. Their companions, Sibghatullah and Muhammad Ramzan, sustained serious injuries.

Following the attack, the assailants managed to escape.

Authorities shifted the bodies, and the injured, to a nearby hospital before handing them over to their families after completing legal formalities.

News of the assassination spread rapidly, sparking shock and outrage.

JUI leader Aslam Ghauri condemned the incident, expressing sorrow over the deaths of Maulvi Ghulam Sarwar and Maulvi Amanullah.
