PMD makes weather forecast for Karachi amid rain predictions for upper regions
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted cloudy weather for today, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius.
Karachi is experiencing a spell of pleasant weather as grey clouds settle over the city.
The temperature of the city was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius in the morning. It could range between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels were reported at 82%.
Karachi was ranked 25th most polluted city in the world on Thursday morning, with particulate matter levels at 123 micrograms per cubic metre, according to the Air Quality Index website.
“A strong westerly wave is affecting most upper and central parts of the country and may persist in upper parts during next 02 days,” the Met Office said in its daily update.
Intermittent rain with snowfall was expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, upper and central Punjab and Islamabad.
