PM Shehbaz arrives in Azerbaijan on a two-day official visit
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Azerbaijan for a two-day official visit, where he received a warm welcome at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Yaqub Abdulla oglu Eyyubov, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev, and other senior officials greeted the Pakistani premier upon his arrival.
During his visit, PM Shehbaz Sharif is set to hold high-level meetings with Azerbaijan’s President Aliyev and other top officials.
The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral ties, expanding trade and investment opportunities, enhancing cooperation in energy and defence, addressing climate change challenges, and promoting cultural exchanges.

A series of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed to deepen the partnership between the two brotherly nations. In addition, both leaders will address a business forum attended by key business figures from Pakistan and Azerbaijan, aiming to explore joint ventures and economic collaboration.
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share longstanding fraternal relations based on mutual values and shared goals. This visit is expected to further enhance bilateral cooperation and strengthen regional ties.
Accompanying the prime minister on this important diplomatic mission are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Ministers Jam Kamal, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Atta Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
