The multi-billionaire Elon Musk has revealed that xAI’s newest AI model, Grok 3, is now accessible for free to all users for a “limited time.”

Musk took to X and announced, “The world’s smartest AI, Grok 3, now available for free (until our servers melt).”

He released an official statement from xAI, which referred to the AI as “the world’s smartest AI” and provided a link for users to access the model.

To use Grok 3, an individual must sign into X, choose the Grok option on the left, enter the request at the prompt, and submit it.

In addition to using Grok 3 on X, it is also accessible via its dedicated webpage, as well as through its iOS and Android apps.

Although Grok 3 is temporarily free for all users, X Premium+ subscribers receive extra benefits. This means that paying subscribers can engage with the AI more often and without limitations.

Furthermore, xAI has introduced a new SuperGrok subscription tier for devoted users seeking exclusive early access to advanced features, such as Voice Mode.

The model can work in three different modes: Think, Big Brain and DeepSearch.

• Think – This mode enables the AI to tackle and analyze intricate problems, such as solving physics equations or calculating the paths of planets.

• Big Brain – This mode emphasizes creativity, allowing Grok 3 to come up with original ideas, like creating new games by merging elements from existing ones.

• DeepSearch – This mode performs thorough research and critical analysis to deliver comprehensive insights on complex topics, including mathematics, science, and coding.

One of Grok 3’s standout features is its ability to generate realistic video content based on text descriptions.

All sources utilized to respond to a request can be accessed and viewed. Additionally, various file types can be uploaded for analysis, including PDFs, JPG and PNG images, text files, CSV files, XML files, Microsoft Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets.

Grok references various websites and user posts to generate its response.

This AI also searches a host of online sources for information and presents its findings in a comprehensive report when asked to answer a complex request.

Grok 3 is designed to learn from mistakes by assessing its outputs for logical consistency. This self-correction system aims to reduce instances of “hallucinations,” where the AI generates inaccurate or nonsensical information.
