Billionaire Elon Musk said on Saturday that his xAI’s artificial intelligence chatbot and ChatGPT challenger Grok 3 would be released with a live demo at 8pm Pacific time on Monday (0400 GMT on Tuesday).

Earlier this week, Musk said Grok 3 was in the final stages of development and would be released in about a week or two.

This comes amid rapid advancements in artificial technologies, especially with the popularity of the Chinese startup DeepSeek chatbot developed at a fraction of the cost of its competitors.

Based out of the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou – sometimes known as “China’s Silicon Valley” – DeepSeek has come seemingly out of nowhere to release a cutting-edge product.

Earlier this month, OpenAI said on Tuesday it would develop artificial intelligence products for South Korea with chat app operator Kakao, unveiling a second major alliance with a high-profile Asian partner this week.

Grok is a feature on X, formerly known as Twitter. It is available on the right side of their wall below the section of messages.

It is an artificial intelligence chatbot introduced by X boss Elon Musk. But the premium subscriber of the social media platform can use the tool. It offers Fun and Regular mode.

“Grok is an AI modeled after the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, so intended to answer almost anything and, far harder, even suggest what questions to ask!” said the social media giant in its statement on November 4.
