Junaid Akbar: 90% of PTI officials shared false information about Swabi rally
A leaked audio clip allegedly featuring Junaid Akbar, President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has surfaced, in which he claims that 90 per cent of PTI officials spread false information regarding the Swabi rally.
In the audio, Akbar asserts that he has detailed reports and knows exactly who misrepresented the facts.
He expressed disappointment over the conduct of several party members, including MPAs, MNAs, and other officials, accusing them of exaggerating the rally’s attendance.
Terming it “shameful,” he stated that he would report the matter directly to the party’s founder.

Akbar went on to claim that he had such precise knowledge of the event that he could even identify what individual attendees were wearing.
He also alleged that some officials attempted to mislead him by sending old footage from Islamabad and other events to exaggerate the rally’s success.
Expressing anger, he asked, “Do I look like a fool?”
The PTI KP president lamented internal factionalism within the party, stating that undeserving individuals were being supported.
However, he vowed not to back any wrongdoers, regardless of their influence. He made it clear that if he failed to uphold his principles, he would resign from his position.
“No single person will dictate decisions for ten others. All decisions will be made through consultation,” Akbar emphasised.
He also stressed that he neither desired nor needed the position, stating that he would be happy if the responsibility was taken away from him.
Akbar concluded by underscoring the need for internal reforms within PTI, pledging to play his role with full integrity. He warned that if transparency and honesty were not upheld, he would step away from the leadership.
