Light rain continues in Karachi’s various areas as weather system moves from Balochistan
A weather system that entered Karachi from Balochistan after rainfall is continuing to bring light showers across different areas of the city.
The western winds have settled over the region, resulting in intermittent rain in areas such as Gurumandar, PCHS, Saddar, Tariq Road, Surjani Town, North Karachi, and North Nazimabad.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rain is attributed to the weather system moving from Balochistan, causing light showers at various locations across Karachi.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a weather forecast report for February 18-22, predicting thunderstorms, heavy winds, and snowfall in several parts of the country.

The NDMA advisory indicates that rain and snowfall are expected in the Pothohar region of Punjab, including Murree and Galyat, as well as in upper and northeastern Punjab and Islamabad between February 19-21.
There is also a forecast for thunderstorms, cold winds, and snow in northern and northwestern Balochistan from February 18-20, and in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the same period.
In addition, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir are expected to experience overcast skies, rain, strong winds, and snow on February 19-20. Sindh, however, will remain predominantly cold and dry.
According to the NDMA, temperatures are expected to remain cold and dry across most of the country from February 21-22.
The relevant authorities have been advised to take appropriate action in light of the anticipated weather conditions.
