Fawad Chaudhry slaps PTI lawyer Shoaib Shaheen over these words
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry slapped Barrister Shoaib Shaheen after a heated exchange sparked by derogatory remarks outside Adiala prison in Islamabad on Saturday (today).
After the fight, Chaudhry explained to the media that the altercation was triggered by Shaheen referring to him as a coward while falsely citing the PTI founder, Imran Khan.
Shaheen allegedly claimed that Khan had called Fawad Chaudhry a ‘bhagora’ (Urdu for coward).
Chaudhry confirmed that he raised the issue with the PTI founder, who denied making such a statement.
He advised Shoaib not to make comments involving the founder’s name.
He confirmed that they reconciled on the instructions of the PTI founder, putting the matter to rest.
Witnesses stated that after being slapped, Shaheen fell to the ground and sustained an injury to his arm. PTI leader Nadia Khattak confirmed this information to reporters.
The confrontation took place at Gate Number Five of Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi. Police intervened to mediate the situation, ensuring that the conflict did not escalate further.
During the incident, both leaders exchanged insults, prompting jail staff to intervene swiftly and separate them.
Following the altercation, Chaudhry entered the jail while Shaheen remained at the scene.
