The Karachi administration has announced specific routes that “will be available for the movement of heavy traffic.”

The Karachi Division will implement specific restrictions that will remain in effect for a two-month period, from February 14, 2025, to March 13, 2025.

These measures are outlined in the official notification issued, which empowers local authorities to regulate traffic and maintain peace within the area.

The following table summarizes the specified routes for heavy traffic to ensure compliance with these new regulations.

The Karachi administration has imposed Section 144 to control heavy traffic outside of designated hours.

Heavy traffic would be permitted from 11pm to 6am, according to a notification.

The Sindh government, responding to public outcry over increasing road accidents, has issued new directives, appointing Pir Muhammad Shah as the new DIG Traffic Karachi.
