Samay Raina deletes all videos of ‘India’s Got Latent’ from YouTube
Comedian Samay Raina has announced that he has removed all episodes of his show, India’s Got Latent, from his YouTube channel after backlash stemming from “indecent jokes” on a recent episode featuring Ranveer Allahbadia.
“Everything that has been happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel,” he said in a social media post.
“My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you (sic).”
Raina’s statement follows outcry after YouTuber Allahbadia made an “inappropriate joke” during the last episode, which aired three days ago.
On Tuesday, YouTube took down an episode of India’s Got Latent, featuring Allahbadia after the Indian government issued a notice regarding the content. After the removal, the Mumbai Police summoned both Allahbadia and Raina for questioning related to the controversy.

A senior adviser to the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Kanchan Gupta, said on X that the episode was blocked due to government orders, sharing a screenshot indicating its unavailability on YouTube.
In light of the controversy, Allahbadia has issued an apology, acknowledging that “his comments were not only inappropriate but also unfunny.” He emphasised that he does not consider comedy his “strong suit.”
Moreover, the Mumbai Police is the investigation agency in the case and have received complaints against several individuals involved in the episode, including YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani and influencer Apoorva Makhija, also known as The Rebel Kid.
