Abhishek Sharma has soared on the ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings following India’s series against England.

In the final T20I, Sharma scored 135 runs off 54 balls, setting the record for the highest individual score by an Indian in men’s T20Is with 13 sixes.

He reached his century in just 37 deliveries, marking the second-fastest century by an Indian in the format.

The 24-year-old surged 38 places to claim the second spot in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings, which is topped by Australia’s Travis Head with 855 rating points.

Sharma’s rise caused another Indian cricketer Tilak Verma to drop to third, while Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav remains in fifth place.

Indian cricketer Ravi Bishnoi also saw a rise, climbing four places to sixth after taking five wickets in the recent T20I series against England.

Additionally, Pakistani cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan fell one position each, now sitting at seventh and ninth, respectively.

Australian cricketer Steve Smith moved up three spots to fifth rank.
