Two Israeli hostages released to Red Cross in Southern Gaza
Hamas has transferred two Israeli hostages, including French-Israeli dual national Ofer Kalderon, to the Red Cross in southern Gaza as part of a ceasefire agreement with Israel.
The hostages, Yarden Bibas and Kalderon, were released in a brief and organized ceremony in Khan Yunis, with limited onlookers present.
A third hostage, American-Israeli Keith Siegel, is expected to be released shortly.
This exchange is part of a fragile truce that has paused hostilities in the Gaza Strip, which has been embroiled in conflict for over 15 months.
