OGRA notifies increase in LPG prices
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a price increase for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Pakistan, effective February 1.
The new price reflects a Rs3.68 increase per kilogram, translating to a Rs43.52 increase per 11.8 kg cylinder.
OGRA officials attributed the price hike to a 1.6 % increase in the Saudi Aramco CP price and a 0.19 % rise in the value of the US dollar. These factors, they explained, directly impacted the cost of LPG.
With the increase, an 11.8 kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs2,996.88. The price increase for LPG producers amounts to Rs3,688 per ton. The price hike will affect LPG consumers nationwide.
