Priyadarshan all set to direct Hera Pheri 3
Indian film director and screenwriter Priyadarshan announced on his birthday his return to direct Hera Pheri 3, featuring actors Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal.
Priyadashan replied to a birthday wish by Kumar, “Thank you so much for your wishes Akshay Kumar. In return I would like to give you a gift, I am willing to do Hera Pheri 3, are you ready Akshay?”
He also tagged actors Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in his post.
Kumar posted a birthday wish to Priyadarshan, stating, “Happy Birthday, Priyan Sir! What better way to celebrate than by spending the day on a haunted set, surrounded by ghosts…both real and unpaid extras? Thank you for being a mentor, and the only person who can make chaos look like a masterpiece. May your day be filled with fewer retakes. Wishing you a fantastic year ahead!”
Rawal also reacted to the news and wrote on X, “Dear Priyan ji You are the Mother who brought this divine bundle of joy in this world ! Thanks once again for taking custody of this ever smiling baby! Welcome sir and make the world happy again.”

The comedy movie Hera Pheri was directed by Priyadarshan, which hit the screens in 2000. It revolved around two tenants, Raju and Shyam, and their landlord, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, who are in desperate need of money. They chance upon a ransom call through a cross-connection and hatch a plan to claim the ransom for themselves.
The movie’s sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, released in 2006, was a continuation of Raju, Shyam and Baburao’s story, who were rich but were conned by a fraudster. They also had to repay the loan taken from a dreaded gangster.
