Spider-Man is now on steam, here are the PC requirements you need to play

The game's previously PS5-exclusive status made many concerned about port scalability

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, released on Steam today, January 30th, has exceeded expectations with its remarkably broad range of supported PC hardware. Developed by Nixxes Software, the PC port offers a surprising level of accessibility, catering to both high-end and budget systems.

The game boasts advanced graphical features including DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction, DLSS 3 and FSR 3.1 upscaling, Intel XeSS support, and ultrawide monitor support up to a massive 48:9 aspect ratio. Crucially, the minimum specifications are significantly lower than anticipated. Players can experience the game at 720p and 30 frames per second using a modest setup such as an Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card, an Intel Core i3 8100 processor, and 16GB of RAM (without ray tracing).

For those with more powerful machines, the game scales impressively. Reaching 4K resolution at 60fps with “Ray Tracing Ultimate” enabled requires an RTX 4090, an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and 32GB of RAM. This wide range of compatibility has been widely praised online, with many commenting on the impressive flexibility of the system requirements.

While Steam Deck compatibility remains unconfirmed due to the higher RAM requirements and need for a relatively modern GPU, the overall accessibility of the port is a significant win for PC gamers. The game’s previously PS5-exclusive status made many concerned about port scalability, but Nixxes Software has seemingly addressed these concerns effectively.
