PCB announces schedule for Tri-Nation ODI series featuring New Zealand and South Africa

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially released the schedule for the upcoming tri-nation ODI series, which will include New Zealand and South Africa. The series is set to take place from February 8 to 14 and will be played on a single-league basis.

The opening matches will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, while Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will host the final league match and the final.

The series will kick off with Pakistan facing New Zealand at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday, February 8, with the first ball scheduled for 14:00 local time.

New Zealand will take on South Africa on Monday, February 10, in a day match, with the toss set for 09:00 local time.

Then the match will happen in Karachi, where Pakistan will meet South Africa on February 12 in a day/night match at the National Bank Stadium, also starting at 14:00 local time.

The final of the series is set to take place on Friday, February 14, with the first ball bowled at 14:00 local time.

Both Pakistan and New Zealand are scheduled to hold training sessions under lights at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday, February 6, while South Africa will have its first practice at the venue on the morning of Sunday, February 9.

At the Gaddafi Stadium, upgrades include increased spectator capacity with new seating, the installation of 480 state-of-the-art LED lights for improved broadcast quality, and two giant digital replay screens measuring 80 feet x 30 feet and 22 feet x 35 feet. A new hospitality enclosure for players and officials is nearing completion, ensuring a premium experience for all involved.

Similarly, the National Bank Stadium has seen significant enhancements, including a new hospitality area for players and officials, 350 LED lights for optimal broadcast coverage, and the installation of 5,000 new chairs for improved spectator comfort.

  • 8 February: Pakistan vs. New Zealand (Day/Night)
  • 10 February: New Zealand vs. South Africa (Day)
  • 12 February: Pakistan vs. South Africa (Day/Night)
  • 14 February: Final (Day/Night)
