Forces kill six terrorists in Balochistan

The militants were attempting to cross into Pakistan

Pakistani security forces have thwarted another cross-border infiltration attempt from Afghanistan, killing six militants in the Zhob district of Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the incident occurred on the night of January 22-23 near the town of Sambaza.

The ISPR statement details that security forces detected a group of militants attempting to cross the border from Afghanistan. A swift response resulted in the killing of six militants. A significant amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the militants.

The ISPR emphasized Pakistan’s repeated calls to the interim Afghan government for effective border management. They expressed hope that the Afghan government would fulfill its responsibilities and prevent the use of Afghan territory for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

The statement concluded by reiterating the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to securing its borders and eliminating terrorism from the country.
