Gold prices register massive increase in Pakistan
Gold rates saw a huge increase in Pakistan on Wednesday following the hike in international prices. The per tola gold price settled at Rs287,450 after appreciating by Rs4,250 in the local market.
Moreover, the 10-gram gold registered a hike of Rs3,642 and was sold at Rs246,440, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The per tola gold price went up by Rs300 to settle at Rs283,200 on Tuesday.
The international rate of gold was at $2,751 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after a jump of $40 during the day. Meanwhile, the silver price settled at Rs3,431 after an increase of Rs59.4/tola.
Gold rates in Pakistan went to an all-time high of Rs287,900 per tola in October last year.
