The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain snow for the upper parts of Pakistan amid the winter season.

“Strong winds and dust storms are expected in the northern and northwestern regions of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, and the Pothohar region, along with rainfall and snowfall in the mountains on Monday,” the PMD said in its daily forecast.

In contrast, other areas of the country are likely to experience cold and dry weather. It added that morning and evening hours would see moderate to dense fog persisting in most districts of Punjab and upper Sindh.

Authorities advised residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions due to the adverse weather conditions.
