NADRA launches bike servie in Karachi to facilitate citizens
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a new mobile service in Karachi designed to bring its services directly to citizens’ doorsteps. The initiative aims to alleviate the inconvenience of long queues and waiting times at NADRA offices.
Starting Monday, three motorcycles will be deployed across Karachi, with additional bikes planned for deployment in the coming days, bringing the total to 13. Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas will each receive one bike as part of the initial rollout.
NADRA representatives will use backpacks containing the necessary equipment to process applications for national identity cards and other services.
Citizens opting for this at-home service will be charged an additional fee of Rs1,000, comprising Rs825 for the service itself and Rs175 for delivery.
This new service complements NADRA’s recent initiatives, including the launch of a mobile app to replace its website and the establishment of 24/7 passport counters at mega centers nationwide. The mobile app aims to combat fraudulent activities associated with the previous website.
