27 militants killed in IBOs in Waziristan
Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kachi district, Balochistan, on January 12, resulting in the deaths of 27 militants, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced.
The ISPR reported that security forces, acting on intelligence regarding the presence of militants, engaged in a firefight after surrounding a militant hideout. Twenty-seven militants were killed in the ensuing clash.
Multiple militant hideouts, along with weapons, ammunition, and explosives, were destroyed during the operation. The ISPR stated that the killed militants were involved in numerous acts of terrorism against both security forces and civilians, and were high-value targets for law enforcement.
In a separate operation in North Waziristan, security forces killed nine militants.
The ISPR emphasized the Pakistani security forces’ commitment to thwarting attempts to undermine peace, stability, and development in Balochistan, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the nation.
