PIA to launch first post-resumption flight to Paris tomorrow

Development comes after the EU lifts four year ban on the airline in Dec’24

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is set to commence its inaugural flight to Paris tomorrow, marking a significant milestone following the resumption of flights to Europe.’

The flight will depart from Islamabad International Airport at 11:30am and is scheduled to arrive in Paris at 4:00 PM.

This development comes after the European Union lifted a four-year ban on the airline in December 2024. Initially, PIA will operate two flights per week, on Fridays and Sundays, with plans for gradual increases in frequency.

Passengers can expect a unique dining experience, enjoying breakfast in Pakistan and lunch upon arrival in Paris.

The return flight from Paris will leave at 6:00 PM, landing back in Islamabad at 5:00 PM the following day.

PIA had previously faced a ban on flights to the EU since June 2020, following a tragic crash in Karachi that resulted in nearly 100 fatalities due to pilot error and concerns over the authenticity of pilot licenses.

The airline remains prohibited from operating in the United States.
