Indian production company, Maddock Films, have unveiled a set of eight horror-comedy films that will be released from 2025 to 2028.

This comes after the runaway success of the Stree franchise and Bhediya. Both movies have been a box office success for Dinesh Vijan, the production house founder, at a time when some big-budget movies have not had a long run in the movie theatres

A January 2 press statement said Thama would be released in Diwali 2025, followed by Shakti Shalini which would be released by the end of the year. The company would come up with a sequel of Bhediya on August 14, 2026 and Chamunda on December 4, 2026.

The longed-for movie Stree 3 would hit theatres on August 13, 2027 and Mahamunjya would be released just before Christmas on December 24. The studio has also outlined plans for a two-part epic, culminating in Pehla Mahayudh (August 11, 2028) and Doosara Mahayudh (October 18, 2028).

Vijan expressed his excitement about the project, putting forward the idea of blending films such as horror, comedy, and superhero together to create a unified entertainment brand.

“Our mission at Maddock has always been to innovate and entertain. We’ve crafted compelling characters that resonate with audiences, grounded in India’s rich culture and heritage. This deep connection has made our stories not just relatable, but also meaningful,” he said.

While reacting to the fan base, he said that the studio would set the stage for a cinematic universe. “We can’t wait to take audiences on this journey through 2028 and beyond – and we are just getting started!”
