A key suspect in the notorious Kasur video scandal, Haseem Amir, has filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court contesting his recent 10-year prison sentence.

In his petition, Amir argued that the trial court’s decision was based on incorrect facts and that it failed to appropriately assess the evidence presented during the trial. He is requesting the court to annul his sentence and accept his appeal.

The Ganda Singh Wala police station in Kasur has registered a case against Amir in connection with the scandal.

The Kasur video scandal first came to light in 2015, revealing that 280 children from the village of Hussain Khan Wala, located five kilometers from Kasur, had been subjected to sexual abuse, with videos of the incidents recorded. Most of the victims were reported to be under the age of 14.
