Karachi polic announce traffic plan for New Year’s eve
The Karachi Traffic Police have unveiled a detailed traffic plan aimed at managing routes and alternative paths across the city regarding the New Year celebrations.
According to the plan, the road from Akhtar Colony via Khayaban-e-Ittehad to Sea View will be closed to all traffic. Additionally, the route from Do Talwar to Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine and 26th Street will also remain inaccessible.
For those heading to Sea View or its surrounding areas, the traffic plan allows access via 26th Street. However, the road from PIDC Chowk to Club Road will be blocked for traffic.
The traffic police have also specified that heavy vehicles will not be permitted on Mahi Kolachi through Maripur Road and Jinnah Bridge.
Furthermore, Dr. Ziauddin Ahmed Road will be closed for traffic up to Lucky Signal, in addition to the previously mentioned PIDC Chowk to Club Road closure.
In an effort to ensure safety, the traffic police will take action against vehicles and motorcycles lacking silencers and will enforce strict measures against irresponsible driving.
