Malayalam thriller ‘Marco’ expected to release on OTT, here’s where to watch
Indian media has claimed that Malayalam thriller ‘Marco’ is expected to start streaming after finishing its 45-day theatrical run, with its digital release anticipated for late January or early February 2025.
The OTT release will reportedly feature an extended version of the movie, incorporating deleted scenes and additional content.
In just 10 days since its release, the film has amassed Rs 35.75 crore across all languages in India, despite facing stiff competition from Viduthalai Part 2 and UI.
The film has garnered positive reviews, especially for its gripping action sequences, drawing comparisons to the 2023 hit Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor. As it continues its successful run, reports indicate that a major streaming platform has secured the digital rights to Marco, hinting at its imminent OTT debut.
Sources reveal that Marco is slated to stream on Netflix in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, approximately 45 days after its theatrical release. This suggests a potential OTT launch by late January or early February 2025, although an official release date has yet to be announced.

In addition to its box office success, Marco has made history as the highest-grossing A-rated Malayalam film, surpassing the previous record held by the 2016 film Kammatipaadam. A spin-off of the 2019 film Mikhael, Marco centers on the titular villain and features a strong supporting cast, including Kabir Duhan Singh, Durva Thaker, Anson Paul, Arjun Nandakumar, Yukti Tareja, Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan, Ishan Shoukath, Siddique, Jagadish, and Riyaz Khan.
The film tells the revenge story of Marco (played by Unni Mukundan), who returns from Italy to avenge the murder of his adopted and visually impaired brother, Victor. Before his death, Victor managed to identify his killer, Russell Isaac.
