FIA officials found involved in Greece boat tragedy
A shocking new development has emerged in the investigation into the deadly Greece boat tragedy, implicating members of Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in the deaths of over 40 Pakistani nationals. The investigation reveals that corrupt FIA officials actively aided and abetted human traffickers.
Thirty-one FIA officers have been identified as being involved in this heinous human smuggling operation. Their names will be added to the passport control list, effectively barring them from international travel.
Nineteen of these officers were stationed at Faisalabad Airport. However, the investigation also uncovered complicity at other airports across the country: three officers at Sialkot Airport, two at Lahore Airport, two at Islamabad Airport, and five at Quetta Airport. The implicated officers range in rank from constables to inspectors and sub-inspectors.
These are the same officers whose failure to be arrested prompted the Prime Minister to express his outrage yesterday, giving a one-week deadline for their apprehension.
The Prime Minister has also ordered a full investigation into the officers’ financial dealings and directed the creation of a comprehensive mechanism to prevent future collusion between FIA officials and human smuggling networks.
The Prime Minister stated unequivocally that Pakistan will not tolerate such crimes within its own ranks.
