** Zac Goldsmith, the brother of Jemima Goldsmith, has reacted strongly to a statement made by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.**

Goldsmith criticized Khawaja Asif in a tweet. He wrote, “This is the actual Defence Minister of Pakistan… is a grown man. He has invented something called ’Operation Goldsmith,” which apparently is in the business of recruiting people. I’m not sure what for. But it sounds awful, and VERY Jewish.“

He expressed that Asif “has been accused of during his political career I’m not surprised by his behaviour.”

“(NB for Pakistani followers) I’ve sadly only visited your beautiful country once. I have never financed any politics of any sort in Pakistan—either directly or indirectly.”

He stated that he would donate the money to Khan due to his honesty.

Goldsmith denied him being Israeli or being connected to an Israeli country as he further elaborated, “Clever Mr. Khawaja is hoping you will be confused by my name.”

On other hand, Trump’s envoy Richard Grenell wrote on X: “The Pakistan Embassy in Washington, DC @PakinUSA and Ambassador Rizwan Sheikh have some explaining to do. The death threats, and crazy talk about operation Goldsmith from the Minister of Defense is reckless.”

He added, “should be a review of what the U.S. taxpayer provides Pakistan in aid.”

Director, South Asia Institute, Wilson Centre, US, Michael Kugelman, also responded to Asif’s tweet, stating, “Pakistan’s defense minister labels Imran Khan an “Israeli asset” & depicts global calls for his release as an Israel-sponsored plot. This is antisemitic nonsense not to mention downright farcical: Many of Khan’s most prominent foreign advocates are unrelenting critics of Israel.”

Recently, Khawaja Asif tweeted on the social media platform ‘X’ that the recruits of Operation Goldsmith, wherever they are, are running a vigorous campaign against Pakistan’s interests to free Khan. He claimed that these elements have full support from Israel and are consistently speaking in the media.

Khawaja Asif stated that it is clear that Imran Khan is an Israeli asset being used to potentially undermine the only Muslim nuclear power. He emphasized that the few voices in the Western world supporting Imran Khan should understand that the Pakistani nation knows how to protect its interests, and our primary and ultimate priority is solely Pakistan.
